Activities Conducted
Latent TB Elimination Campaign: Awareness lectures and presentations on the topics ‘End Latent Tuberculosis through Ayurveda’ and ‘The benefits of screening the early diagnosis of LTB’ were conducted in April 2025.
4th Jan Jatiya Divas: The institute has been organizing Medical camps and awareness lectures in tribal villages during THCRP programme.
International Day of Yoga 2025: The day was observed on 21.06.2025. Awareness lectures and Yoga practice sessions were organised in collaboration with various institutes. Distribution of saplings and plantation programmes were conducted as part of Harit Yoga initiative.
World Environment Day: World Environment Day was observed on 05.06.2025. Awareness lectures were conducted at OPD and during outreach activities. Pledge was taken by all staff of the institute.
Hindi Karyasala: Quarterly Hindi Karyasalas were organised on 30.06.2025 and 29.09.2025.
Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan: An anti-addiction pledge was taken by all staff of ALRARI, Chennai on 13.08.2025 as part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
National Sports Day: National Sports Day was observed by ALRARI, Chennai from 29.8.25 to 31.8.25. All staff of the institute participated in various games organised as part of it.
Vigilance Awareness Week 2025– Three Months vigilance campaign was initiated on 18.08.2025.
Ayurveda Day 2025: Ayurveda Day 2025 was observed on 23.092025. Various activities like Medical camps, awareness lectures, Walkathon, webinar, distribution of medicinal plants, Mini expo, competions for Ayurveda college students etc were organised as part of the celebration.
Swasth Nari Sashakth Parivar Abhiyan: Swasth Nari Sashakth Parivar Abhiyan was observed from 17/9/25 and continued till 02.10.2025. Awareness lectures, IEC materials distribution, screening for anaemia, and Nutritional counselling were conducted as part of it.
Poshan Maah: Poshan Maah was observed from 12.09.2025 to 11.10.2025. Webinar, awareness lectures, IEC materials distribution, distribution of nutritional medicines were conducted as part it.
Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign: Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign was observed from 17.09.2025 and continued to 02.10.25. All staff took swachhta pledge and cleaning activities were carried out in the institute.
Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat initiative: Activities were carried out as part of Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat initiative.
– On 25.09.2025 – Inauguration of Event and detailed presentation about the paired State, Jammu & Kashmir was carried out at the institute premises.
– On 30.09.2025 – Discussion about the geographical, cultural, diet and living conditions and played a video on the same topic at the institute.Hindi Pakhwada: Hindi Pakhwada was observed from 14.09.2025 to 30.09.2025. Various competitions for staff were organised.

Collaborative Projects Undertaken
General Health Screening with Special Focus on Tuberculosis, Anemia, Haemoglobinopathies, and Malnutrition, along with Ayurvedic Interventions for Improved Health Outcomes among students of Ekalavya Residential Model Schools (EMRS) functioning under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Collaboration: CCRAS–ICMR–NIRTH.
A Community-Based Study to Assess the Role of Ayurvedic Interventions and Lifestyle Advocacy on Iron Deficiency Anemia in Women of Reproductive Age in Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu, implemented under the Ayush and Public Health component of Ayurswasthya Yojana. Collaboration: Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
